About GYRSG
GYRSG stands for 'Gay York Region Social Group'.
Our group is based in York Region, Ontario and was formed in 2006. We presently have approximately 50 members.
We organize and host regular, informal social events at venues across York Region, for members of the LGBT community and their friends.
Membership of GYRSG is free of charge and open to all age groups.
Our Events
Our social events are very informal, welcoming to newcomers and attended by many people who come on their own. So you need not worry about the fact that you might not know anyone else at the start. You won't be alone, and you'll never find a friendlier group of people.
We only select venues that are known to be gay-friendly. They are often the kind of places where you can arrive uncommitted and check us out before deciding to join us.
For most of our events, event details are only circulated to our members and attendance is restricted to our members and their guests.
How To Join Us
If you think you might be interested in attending our events, you will need to register as one of our members. To do this, simply click 'Register' on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
